Illustration from LAST Week

Sorry about omitting last week’s weekly illustration!!!
My husband reads my newsletters. After these recent editions Leader as Gardener and Who got you here won’t get you there, I think he cottoned that I am having issues keeping plants alive (that and the fact our home is full of half living plants).
So, he got me this for my birthday 🤣.

Speaking of birthdays, every year I take the time to reflect on the year that was and dream of the year that will be.
This meant creating more space for “being” and reflecting and less time spent on “doing”.
So this week’s newsletter is slightly shorter and different.
My intention for the past year since my last birthday has been to find equilibrium and make bold moves.
This intention came after life-changing realizations from reading Dan Pink’s The Power of Regret.
Here is this week’s illustration, which is a brief summary of Pink’s four regret categories based on vast amount of existing research and running a global survey.
Illustration of the Week

I culminated my reflections in a LinkedIn during a coffee break on my birthday cycle – a breezy 60km through the Dutch forest and beach dunes.
To be perfectly honest I was quite surprised at the response.
Many people messaged me after thanking me for inspiration and voicing the fear around doing things because of worry about failure of what other people would think.
Which triggers the crux of this newsletter’s takeaway and thinking space for you:
Powerful Reflection Questions
What bold moves are you making or avoiding making in your career or leadership?
What will be your what ifs or if only I hads?
What do you need to do to make your vision a reality?
How can you do this whilst maintaining your need for security?
What would you like and what would you change?

I would be grateful If you would be happy to gift me 2 minutes of your time for feedback on what you like and what you want more from reading The Nature of Leadership + Career.
